SPECIALIZED UNITS
Over my 24 years of service, I have had the opportunity to receive specialized training and serve with some of the best law enforcement officers in the area.
GOGEBIC IRON SWAT TEAM
In 2007, I was a founding member of the Gogebic Iron County SWAT Team. As I gained experience, I was named team leader. I served as a firearms and scenario instructor for the team. I set up training and scenarios as well as qualifying officers on their handguns and rifles.
When I became Chief Deputy, I stepped down from my position as team leader. I still offer support with training and firearms qualifications.
GOGEBIC IRON AREA NARCOTICS TEAM
In 2019, I was given the opportunity to join the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT). I attended the Wisconsin Department of Justice Narcotics Officer training. In late 2025, I was promoted to a supervisory role, assistant team leader of GIANT. We have had great success working together to investigate narcotics activities in Iron and Gogebic Counties.

Professional Organizations
NORTHWEST AREA CRIME UNIT
I am a current member of the Northwest Area Crime Unit (NACU). NACU consists of several investigators from Iron, Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Sawyer, Washburn, and Burnett Counties. We have mutual aid agreements with each county that allow us to investigate crimes that span across northern Wisconsin. We work together with information sharing to successfully combat narcotics trafficking.
CENTRAL WISCONSIN CRIMINAL INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION
I am a current member of the Central Wisconsin Criminal Investigators Association (CWCIA). The CWCIA is an association that consists of investigators from Iron County through central Wisconsin. We share information and meet in person to receive specialized training.
WISCONSIN ASSOCIATION OF HOMICIDE INVESTIGATORS
In 2017 I had the opportunity to attend the Wisconsin Department of Justice-Death Investigation School. It’s one of the most prestigious law enforcement trainings you can attend. I am an active member and have attending trainings and conference. I have learned from some of the best Homicide Detectives in the country on cutting edge techniques on solving complex crimes.
