2019- Present
Overseeing department-wide strategic operations, managing multi-million dollar budgets, and leading a team of specialized officers to ensure public safety and operational efficiency.
Patrol Division Supervisor
2019 - 2023
Directed daily field operations, mentored junior officers, and implemented community-focused policing strategies that significantly reduced local response times.
Special Investigations Investigator
2016-Present
Working with Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT), Northwest Area Crime Unit (NACU) to eradicate the dealing of narcotics in Iron County.  Trained Homicide Investigator and an a member of Wisconsin Association of Homicide Investigators (WAHI)
Law Enforcement Trainer
Certified law enforcement trainer in firearms, emergency vehicle operations, and scenario-based training for deputies.
Patrol Deputy
Transitioned to the front lines, establishing a reputation for integrity and fairness while serving the residents of Iron County through proactive patrol and community engagement.
Jailer / Dispatcher
Began career behind the scenes working in the jail and dispatching. Gained experience in the communications and correctional aspect of the sheriff's office.

By serving as a volunteer firefighter for 28 years, Mike had dedicated his life to the community on several levels. He understands the challenges our families face because he is right there with us, working to make Iron County a safer, stronger place to call home.
